According to the New York State and Federal governments, Mahopac is a Blue Ribbon School District. In addition, Fulmar Road Elementary (our home school), Lakeview Middle, and Austin Road Elementary are all US Department of Education Schools of Excellence. There is a Gifted and Talented program, half-day and full-day Kindergarten, and comprehensive and outstanding Special Education services. Average First Grade class size is 22 children. 90% of Seniors continue their education (63% at four year colleges). There were two National Merit Scholarship semi-finalists last year.
